Scientist | Artist | Educator

Natalie is a scientist, educator and nature-inspired artist who comes from a multidisciplinary background that bridges business strategy and scientific research. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in plant and insect sciences.

Her work sits at the intersection of biology, communication and creativity. Natalie studies the intricate relationships between plants, insects, and their microbiomes. She is passionate about making science accessible and engaging through both visual storytelling and education. As an educator, Natalie thrives on fostering curiosity and clarity – whether teaching students, giving talks, or creating illustrations that translate complex concepts into intuitive visuals.

Outside of the lab and classroom, Natalie creates art inspired by the natural world. She believes art should be used to open a window to science – inviting others in with curiosity, beauty, and a sense of connection to the living world. Her work combines scientific accuracy with artistic exploration, aiming to deepen appreciation and understanding of the overlooked organisms around us.
